CORPORATE PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT-JHB

The incumbent is employed in the Financial Services Business and will be responsible for salary system maintenance and reports to the Corporate Payroll Accountant.

MISSION:
Maintain payroll data monthly
Prepare payroll journals
Reconciliation of payroll
Prepare reconciliation’s for third party interfaces
Interfacing of payroll into general ledger
Printing of reports from SAP
Responsible for pay advances
IRP5 reconciliation
Prepare electronic transfer of salaries to bank
Compiling vendor / cheque list

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Unless the applicant can demonstrate that he/she has developed the necessary competencies through experience, B Com (Acc) degree or newly graduated
5-8 Years experience of which 2-5 years practical must be within payroll environment.

KNOWLEDGE:
Understanding of Financial accounting and payroll principles / systems
Knowledge of SAP system will be an advantage
Computer literate (Payroll software, Windows and Excel)
